Information

Dr. Muhammad Jamal Al-Sharif (Canadian Jordanian-Palestinian, Director of the Humanity Foundation for Peace) contributed to various volunteer work inside and outside Canada, as a result of which he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Medal for Voluntary Work, awarded on behalf of the Queen by the Governor-General of Canada and handed to him by the Mayor of Ottawa, Jim Watson. Going back to history, the idea of awarding this medal in Canada dates back to 1995, when those who have accomplished outstanding volunteer work in Canada or abroad are honored based on the interest in the importance of volunteer work in community service and development. Canadians of Arab descent represent a vital and important part of Canadian society, and one of the symbols of Arab Canadians. Dr. Al-Sharif says that he founded the “Humanity for Peace Foundation” five years ago in search of everything that serves humanity, not only in Canadian society, but throughout the world. With very limited capabilities and without any support, he used to do voluntary work that would benefit the community financially and morally.
